Six Senses, true to its heritage of creating exceptional customer experiences in places of incredible beauty, opens its first resort in Europe.
Located in the Portuguese Douro Valley recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the property has a building of their own romantic nineteenth century architecture with contemporary interiors, redesigned by Clodagh Design, reflecting the inimitable style of Six Senses .
Dorado name: Duero, the sun kisses the valley, which is also golden by nature, full of crowded terraces of grapes amber and the tortuous flow of the Douro River to the Atlantic coast travesando the oldest wine producing region in the world.

The resort occupies 8 hectares and has 57 rooms, from a fifth higher, a fifth river, or spacious suites and villas with one, two and three bedrooms.
Caterers
A restaurant open all day and another contemporaneously reinventing the classics of Portuguese gastronomy exploiting the raw materials of the region and natural products from our garden. To complete the dining experience has a Wine Academy, interactive and educational, where guests hand hotel sommelier and wine makers in the area will be instructed in the wines of the area.
